Welcome to the Forum Algebra

Researchers interested in topics related to algebra are spread over various distinct institutes and departments in Linz. The Forum Algebra is a platform for bringing these people together, making them aware of each other, and encouraging them to collaborate accross the boundaries of administrational units.

The Forum Algebra was founded by Günter Pilz and is hosted at the Institute for Algebra. It is an informal community open to all researchers with some connection to Algebra and to Linz. Most of its members are affiliated with one or more of the following institutes:

As can be seen from the List of publications, algebraists in Linz have a diverse variety of interests, incuding (near) ring theory, computer algebra, algebraic geometry, universal algebra, number theory, algebraic combinatorics, cryptography, and others.
