Lecture Notes
The lecture notes are prepared during the semester.
At this moment, there are notes for the first 3 chapters. Although the
course is taught in English, some of the notes are in German. This should not
be a barrier because the whole material will be presented in English
during the lectures. In addition, a link to useful literature in English
is given below.

my lecture notes on commutative algebra. The current version
(work in progress!) can be found here. In the Gröbner basis
course, we started with chapter 6 (resultants).

Those students who also want to get credits for the additional exercise
classes (378.171) should work on the homework problems and discuss their
solutions during the exercise classes.
Warning: Some of the exercise problems may be challenging!
For the best grade, about 80% of the problems should be solved,
40% are required for a passing grade.
